When people call Cherry Bomb or Next Level noise:

-
They are noise though imagine if BTS or BP release those songs people would be hating on them hard.
BTS and Blackpink have literally released songs that would be classified as noise music yet they never get included in the conversation about noise music.
-
i can't believe i'm seeing cherry bomb and next level get compared with my own two eyes

Then include them?
-
Next Level is a mess and I like Cherry Bomb.
-
Cherry Bomb is noise but it's good noise. Same with Savage
-
There is like a 1% of noisy elements on them though, messy/dynamic doesn't equal noisy. The beats of both songs aren't overwhelming because there is not that much happening at the same time, only noisy thing I could consider from both is Cherry Bomb's dance break, and even then is just EDM with some consecutive drum pedal kicks

The comparison is that both get called noisy when neither is imo
-
Actually Next Level is more "relaxed" , I don't think it falls under the "noise" category?

cherry bomb is noise for sure. okay/good noise. next level isn't noisy at all.

Disagree neither have as messy songs as those.

Savage is more noise music than Next Luvel and none are as noisy than

Next Level is hardly a noisy song. It's not hard core, it's quite easy on the ears and listenable unlike a lot of other music.
-
well , when they said this at least i know that they are musically limited to what popular artist with generic sound serve them

I would say Savage is more noise.
I can understand why people would like NL but savage...

Idk, I never found Cherry Bomb noisy: it barely has high frecuencies sounds and the different beats are quite separated on the mix to not be overwhelming

savage is definitely more noise. still find it enjoyable though but not as much as their b-sides

Mood whenever I hear Lalisa

People call songs Noise as just another word to call them messy or bad or try to do alot.
I can not believe a blink is saying this when antis call HYLT KTL DDDD noise music as well what the hell the point is none of these songs are even remotely noisy go listen to hyperpop edm and screamo then get back to me
-
No, they call noise anything they're unfamiliar with.
It's very insulting to the actual genre and Kpop is very tame compared with it.
These are the same people who think that hip hop and edm heavy songs didn't happen in kpop until 2018 so there's no use explaining anything.
If Fantastic Baby or Sugar Free came out in 2021 there'd be 100 thinkpieces about "kpop is over"
-
DDDD and HYLT are not noise you can debate KTL but DDDD and HYLT compared to savage?
Pretty obvious which song is more noisy.
People just hate on anything BP release thats not really unique.

Lmaooo they're delusional to the max

I'm just having a conversation? Nobody is mad.
People in this thread are clearly getting mad but okay.
Term used solely by idiots who want to perpetuate a stigma against certain genres and experimental elements within kpop they personally don't like.
You don't hear this nonsense outside of kpop. How hard is it to say you really hate or dislike a song without running your mouth and proving you know nothing about the music you speak so highly about elsewhere.
/end rant. Tired of putting it nicely for the folk in their bubbles. What even is this argument? Who cares if its not used outside of KPOP loads of words are used in KPOP and not outside of it?
I can dislike a song but still not find it noisy.. for example if I hate a IU song why would I call it Noisy when her songs are not like that?
Songs that try to do alot and which are messy are noisy songs.
-
To be honest, I would find Boombayah 'noisier' than any of their other TTs.
The chorus?
The girls screaming "oppa"?
I love the song though.
-
Idk about you guys but for me noise/noisy has 2 connotations (can be one of them or both)
- The song has many things happening at the same time and they are barely distinguished from one another
- Use of high frequency and abrassive sounds that can be too much for some people (Flute on Sticker, neighing horse on Simon Says, some EDM sections with dubstep and industrial sounds happening)
For me, a song being messy/disjointed is a different statement, as songs can be messy yet not noisy at all, and can also be noisy yet coherent and cohesive.
