Idols appeared on TV more back then, so Twice, Tzuyu and Sana in particular, were super well known, enough that they'd get name dropped on variety and dramas all the time. Idol media has shifted more to the internet now so it might be hard for Aespa to get the same level of recognition from as wide an audience.

Actually the aespa girls have appeared on tv with their kb bank ads and eider ads and MediHeal ads also they have billboards and shop ads up all over Korea , forgot Givenchy ads as well

so any girl group that does well on charts should become NGG? being ngg is more than doing well digitally it's dominating in all areas and be recognized by the general public (other than the youth)

why didn't brave girls didn't become ngg? they were literally everywhere and had succesful hits

OMG had the longest charting gg son song on melon.

they just don't have the image for ngg, same with blackpink. maybe aespa will end up having their own title, but i don't think it matters how successful they are. not every top group is nation's girl group just because they're a top group, they have to have both the success and family friendly image.

and anyways why are people so obsessed with ngg? there's a million other titles. nation's little sisters, nation's fairies, representative girl group, international girl group, global girl group, etc etc etc. why is ngg the only one people want to bicker over?
