Damn. I understand feeling emotionally invested in a show but death threats is way over the top. As mad as I was/am about I-land I'm not cursing anyone involved and wishing ill on them. In fact, I respect all of them still. You can be mad about something a person says or does without jumping straight to "die stupid bitch." Geez!

As sad as it is it's not surprising. Idols already get a lot of hate and death threats and being a famous person on a show where people can make it break their career is gonna be a cesspool. Remember how ifans including akp users were shitting on that "we go up, you go down" girl?

Unfortunately unless there are some kind of regulations in place to stop this stuff from happening, not just kpop but other fields (when England lost on penalties in the euro final 3 black players were immediately at the end of racist abuse) this is going to stay part of internet and fan culture
