Hyunjoo has showed nothing but grace and maturity in that situation. The girls who said that her suicide attempt inconvenienced them did not. That's that on that for me.

Not really and the situations aren't comparable. I supported Mina on her recovery back then without bashing Jimin or anyone else, and I am not bashing APRIL members either, just commenting on their public statements which have been unempathetic, inconsistent and messy. Meanwhile, Hyunjoo has done nothing like Mina, acted nothing like Mina and didn't even blame her suicide attempt on anybody but the way she felt back then. Remember, she wasn't the one who came out with it to begin with.

Everything Hyunjoo has said so far has been consistent enough for me. Not much that APRIL members have said was consistent. First she was their friend who they were so close with and they posted 'private selfies' to prove that, which people then debunked as private selfies but pictures taken from schedules. Then they were afraid of her and they were never friends to begin with, directly contradicting what they said before about her. Those are very big differences. Hyunjoo has been quiet, consistent, giving updates only when needed (and those updates have been cohesive and sensical) and hasn't been attacking or shading anybody, she never did attack anyone. APRIL's company have been trying to tarnish her reputation and them and fans have been caught mass disliking her videos and trying to influence the public perception by claiming to international and Korean fans alike that the tides are turning (but then you realize the same people are mass commenting on her videos and Instagram every day, and new accounts are popping up all the time leaving the same comments). She's handling the situation better than the other side and hasn't been malicious to anybody. Of course, none of that makes APRIL member monsters. It could be that what they were doing to her did not felt like bullying to them. It could've been a matter of perspective and a bunch of misunderstandings. But then you apologize and try to understand each other and resolve the issue, like she wanted. You don't go around giving interviews saying somebody's suicide attempt inconvenienced your schedules. That lack of empathy is scary. That's why, I'm not gonna bash APRIL nor call them monsters, but I won't ever support them again and I will continue to support Hyunjoo. I'm careful about this situation but you can tell from an airplane that AOA and APRIL situations are vastly different and that people are using Kwon Mina to discredit every other victim of bullying out there because that one situation turned out to be a total mess and now that gives people the ammo to call out potential actual victims.
