I know previously it was because of that SNSD black ocean their fans did and then because of all the scandals. But I mean. TVXQ would also be I guess but the problematic DUI guy left so people forget about it.

Anyway they also get a lot of hate because of shindong. Twitter vehemently hates him.

I'd been an ELF for nearly ten years but have found their recent material a bit of a disappointment and because of that have stopped following them. They just don't have that appeal for me anymore and I have moved on.

Man I wish more groups could be this mediocre

only the younger fans drag suju. older fans know how much they have contributed, this coming from someone that hates elf.

Suju members have more value apart doing individual activity tbh. Only some members have to rely on their musical comebacks

Anyway, Super Junior's concept has always been mostly music with a comedic flare and this even bleeds into their performance style and MVs, look at the MVs of Mamacita, Blacksuit and Magic for example or the Devil trailer. They even had entire subunits specialised in comedic music and performances (T and Happy)

As an actual SJ fan I think their last 3 albums (Blacksuit, Super Clap, House Party) are some of their (and kpop's) strongest albums alongside Mamacita and Sorry Sorry, even though I don't care for House Party and 2ya2yao as songs. I'd take 2018-2021 SJ over 2011-2013 SJ any day.

All 3 Label SJ albums this year (the full group album, Yesung's solo album and D&E's album) were top notch.
