Is there really a benefit of having foreign members in kpop groups? Business wise.

It surely helps I think! But ATEEZ doesn't have foreign member but they still do good I guess.

BTS doesn't have foreign member tho. But they are biggest boygroup in the world.

Not necessary, but it help for sure. Imagine If there would be idol from your own country? I would be more curious toward group, that would have idol from my own country and could speak my own language.

They help capture fans from their home countries. Being relatable and all I guess.

It does help but not as much as people think. In Treasure there are 4 Japanese members and while they are quite popular I'd say the Korean members like Junkyu & Jihoon are just as popular to Jfans, especially Junkyu.

It can! Benefits like broader audience appeal and specialized language or other skillset(s). It also helps with writing effective lyrics and pronunciation in a foreign language. I think a good example, at least in terms of the music, is with DSP Media. They didn't have a competent group rapper until BM as a part of KARD. They had another 4-member girl group with a rapper after KARA (can't think of their name), but it was just another group position. No real swag to carry the bars. It's hard to find native borns who have universal-swag appeal like CL and Soyeon.

BM definitely brings some American Rap edge to the group and agency. I think K-Pop group members from the East and West Coasts of the US have access to "cheat codes" because they are exposed to so many different vibey artists and kinds of music.
