2nd Gen was so F****** loaded that not even........

  • Girls Day would make the top 10 girl groups of their generation.

That is INSANE. They are so iconic! This opening performance is CLASSIC. I just watched it 3 times in a row.

"2nd Generation Kpop: Official Generation of the Kpop Girl Group"

  • Drew just saying there are many good groups in 2nd gen that it's hard to make top 10 list of 2nd gen

    I think

    oh, really?

i mean i feel like there are lots of great 2nd gen groups but i don't mind a potential ranking *wink wink nudge nudge*

  • The only ranking that matters is the top 10. Be there or be square.

no one wants to be a square. on a serious note, i seriously do want to see a ranking

  • no one wants to be a square. on a serious note, i seriously do want to see a ranking

    It's more or less

    1: SNSD

    2: 2NE1

3 to 5: Wonder Girls/Kara/Sistar depending on which metrics you look at

6 to 8: T-ara/Apink/f(x) depending on which metrics you look at

Only after 8 groups then we come to Girl's Day, and even so it would be Girl's Day/AOA/EXID/4Minute/miss A so depending on how you look at it, they may or may not rank within top 10

  • Accurate. But I do think most people would put Miss A and After School in before Girls Day.

I feel like After School maybe not. They started off well but went down after. It's the member changes that makes it hard for people to keep up with the group. I guys maybe you can make an argument for it if you include Orange Caramel but I still think not. I might probably would After School with groups like Secret maybe?

The one I'm bit iffy is where to place Brown Eyed Girls. They have this iconic feel to them but I'm not sure success wise how or where to put them I would think fairly high as well but not sure if can include them in top 10.

  • I miss Gen 2 so many good bops and girls day had alot I liked.

There is no like sexy girl groups now days.

  • for girl groups, yeah i feel like this is totally accurate? though, wouldn't EXID be more 3rd gen than second? they debut in 2012 correct? the same year as exo

Can a case even be made for Brown Eyed Girls? Theres just so many legendary groups it's hard.

I see EXID/AOA as late 2nd Gen. It's not really based on the year they debut, rather when we associate EXID/AOA and their "rivals", we usually compare them to earlier groups like Sistar/miss A/Girl's Day especially since those groups have sexy concept, rather than comparing them to like lets say Mamamoo/Red Velvet/Twice.

Their concept and feel is more 2nd Gen than 3rd Gen despite the debut year.

Yes Secret. They had really good peaks with their earlier era but fell after. It's kinda similar to Girl's Day as well but Girl's Day members have more individual popularity.

    TS entertainment was shit
