Hmm... of the ones that are alive, probably Sir Tim Rice, EGOT winner, lyricist for some of the most popular stage musicals (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, The Wizard of Oz 2011) as well as some of the biggest Disney Renaissance films (Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King). If dead people are allowed, I would have gone with Howard Ashman (the other big lyricist for the Disney Renaissance films) or John Lennon.

Other candidates include:
