Oh yikes Knetz...

    I copy and paste what I wrote on the front-page about the situation with K-netz going against Bobby


    IDK what to say ... its so weird how people treat Idols in Korea as if they could decide how these people should live ... Idols are humans too and not a puppet that you can play with ... In Western music industries many times people either give a damn and don't care or they feel very happy for their most favourite artists and would never dare to go against their fave artists with such a hate that some Korean people seem to spreed whenever an idol is behaving like a human. It seriously makes me so mad whenever an idol talks about their private live and the Korean public plays them down like if this was "oh so bad" ... let those people live their own life pls!


    Also the difference, between idols like him and idols in their 30s who marry and get children is also very rediculous because when a 30+ idol says they get married and expect kids than all of a suddon the most fans act super suportive and happy but if they are under 30 than people almost want to crucify the idols ... thats so horrible ... Whats so bad about an idol in his 20s getting married? Seriously in almost all cultures are allways people in their 20s who get married and have children ... but well I guess its not as cool to make down when these people arn't celebrity, right?


    Jesus, can those people in Korea please learn to give a fuck and ignore him if they are against what he's doing? I mean some idols might read such negativity and get depressed from it and thats not cool.


    Anyway ... I'm happy for Bobby and his future family

    What are your thoughts on K-netz who trow stuff on Bobby like "This is rediculous" and "At least he is not abonding the child" or "He is Chen 2.0" ? I personally find these people all very weird who say this ...

    It's not just Knetz. It's fans of Ikon as well. People always target Knetz like International fans aren't just the same. It's stupid and to be so obsessed with your idol and their life you must really have time to worry about someone you don't know having a family.

    admit it or no idol are not artists and they will never be no matter how talented they are . they are puppets who sell themselves to teenage fangirl for fame and money and they have to be 100% loyal to their fans and follow everything the company said. it's his fault for choosing this road i remmeber the quiett and dok2 offer to sign him to their hihop label but he said no thinking the idol road is easier . if he choose to be rapper instead of idol he would be more free to date or get married and nobody will care and he will make more money and will be more respected as an artist just look almost all the korean rappers are married or dating publicly and their carrer are just fine

    It started out mostly like you said but who said there shouldn't be a shift? Who said there isn't a shift going on? He "chose" this, but the idol life shouldn't be about completely giving up on a family, especially not on the long term...


    And in the end, the criticism I've seen from some of knetz wasn't even about owning Bobby and being betrayed as much as them not liking the "prenuptial pregnancy" which is kind of an outdated opinion

    Sorry, but it is just utterly backwards that he should have to choose between mainstream success and being able to have a real, human life.


    I am thrilled that he has been open about what is important to him (and felt the same with Chen too) and hope it helps to set a precedent that more idols feel they can be honest about their relationships and private life.

    In some cultures idols need to do family planning, not make family surprises. Planning takes a lot of time though and time in itself can be a lost investment.

    For me the problem comes with the fact that the kpop industry is not only selling music, but a relationship with the idols. That's why there are so many fan meetings and events, exclusive content, personal videos on the idols, etc. These companies encourage that stan behavior with their marketing. So that leaves fans that are not that mentally mature to think they have a relationship/ownership over the idols they like and support.

    they are either sad that they can't get with oppa or just want to jump on someone to ridicule them because they don't feel good about themselves...


    they are acting like he was 16


    None of them had a chance anyways whats with the backlash... let the man do whatever he wants or is marriage, pregnancy of two consenting adults a crime now? All this drama for a man just having a child with the woman he loves


    How is it that hard to see people having a happy moment and making a new family... ?
