National Hits by each year
-
-
kinda yeah, man 2019 was dry for kpop
-
-
If Playing with fire is a "national hit" then so are Hip and Psycho in 2019
-
-
Spring Day instead of DNA. And where is Psycho?
-
spring day for 2017
psycho for 2019
nonstop for 2020
-
Omg oops
-
dalla dalla was a hit for 2019
-

Hip and Psycho both have failed to hit that 2.5m downloads mark. And both weren’t chart toppers either

I-fans asking I-fans about which songs were national hits in KOREA will never not be funny
-

-
Psycho no.
Nonstop definitely no.
delusional? yes.
-
don't feel like editing my comment again but idk if LSG can be considered a national hit
Edit: if you consider PWF a national hit Knock Knock and Likey are also national hits since they have certs
-
HYLT was the first idol song in over a year to get a PAK and has the highest melon UL’s in 24 hours

LSG has better longetivity and is better recognized in Korea

not being #1 =/= not being a hit song

2016: Rough, Cheer Up, TT, Playing With Fire
2017: As If It’s Your Last, Red Flavor, Really Really, Spring Day, DNA
2018: Ddu Du Ddu Du, Love Scenario, Bboom Bboom, SOLO, Idol, Dance The Night Away
2019: Boy With Luv
2020: How You Like That, Lovesick Girls, Dynamite
Do you guys agree?
One of these dont belong... if you put PWF then KK, Likey, and Fake love all need to be added lmao

I swear I-fans care more about which songs are national hits than Koreans themselves. We have a thread every other week about this.
-
did you mistype or something? if lsg is a national hit so is hylt which did better in overall raw numbers except for staying less days on melon top 10 (but still well over 100 days). It's actually the opposite imo, hylt already is a national hit or is on the verge of becoming one and lsg still got a long way to go
-
Blood Sweat and Tears needs to be a national hit as well, if youre counting some of these songs. It has 2.5M downloads and 100M streams.

2016 i kind of not agree with PWF, it was popular but way way lower success than the other 3. Actually Whistle did at least as much as PWF in 2016. Also BST by BTS could have a shot at making the list, Navirella too but imo Fxxk It by Big Bang totally dominated the end of the year and should be here too.
2017 : If you talk about national hit, signal and Ko ko bop did better than AIIYL, and I WIll go to you like the first snow is a big miss from that year, as its arguably Ailee's biggest song in Korea. IU's Palette was also a good success.
Fine by Taeyeon also should have been here. Really Really is very arguable.
2018 : IU Bbibbi did much better than you think, and did better than DTNA, Idol and BB. Solo shouldn't be here if Bbibbi isn't imo. Travel by Bol4 was very big during end spring early summer. Flower Road by Big Bang also dominated the beginning of the year. Fake Love should be here, as it did pretty much as good as Idol. Also Siren smh.
2019 : I would tend to agree on that one, though Dalla Dalla and Gotta Go could've been here. AKMU's How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love was an absolute national hit and should be here. If you count songs that got success in 2020, Psycho, Hip, Meteor should be here. Also Blueming which is arguably as big as BWL.
2020 : How tf did you miss Any Song lmao. Also Eight by IU (you should always check IU's realeases when doing those lists as she is alwasy up there). Also SSAK3's Beach Again. VVS is also killing it this end of the year. Aloha also did amazing as an ost. Start Over by Gaho also could've been here. Dolphin and Nonstop...

Maybe even ON?

The list was Kpop groups only
-
Spring Day has the longevity but I think Ailee was first this year.

The Big Bang's songs should make the list though, and the PWF highly questionable. Psycho and Hip...
-
ON is a huge reach and kind of a joke, but so are some of the other songs on that list. Some of them even never topped Melon or Gaon.

Okey, do the thread. Whatever. I can't say anything but at least have some logic or criteria that makes sense.
Make it make sense please.

nor was Lovesick Gurls a chart topper
