What's wrong with saying "I miss the old BTS"?

Missing old BTS is cool but some people just diss anything they come out with nowadays and that is very not cool

Because it's usually the opening to insult current BTS; they don't usually just stop at 'man my favorite era was Boy in Luv I miss the guyliner' (I mean it was fantastic)

80% of the time they take it to the next level and make (baseless) claims of how the growth BTS has gone through is bad or fake or something.

But yeah it's normal to have a fave era of different acts. We all have preferences.

I really wish they have comeback with something like blood, sweat, and tears.

Wanting an artist to return to an old style is sweet. Bts's is especially valid because their whole concept seems to have changed

The problem is that people make it seems like BTS growing and evolving makes them sell outs or that their quality in music is declining. I miss old Mariah Carey more than anyone but there’s no way I can expect her to keep rereleasing butterfly for my pleasure. BTS started their career as teens so it’s silly to think their music would stay the same as adults. It’s the same way with people saying they miss old paramore.

Agreed! Honestly bc I'm the type to like lots of different songs and not stick to one sound I think that's why they're my ults - I never get bored and they've never let me down? It's really exciting to stan them because of that! Can't expect what's coming next but it'll always be A+++++

Nah no one has a problem but no fanbase would like it if that's a term used to criticize their faves currently. Obviously if its out of genuine nostalgia like the "aww i miss them lets look back at some old concepts and appreciate" vibe - you wont get fans having a problem.

as far as im aware all their older songs and albums are available on plenty of streaming sites their older bangtan bombs are still on youtube too

Nothing's wrong with saying that when It's genuine. I have nostalgic feelings towards their old music, but I still love and respect their new musical direction.

A lot of army miss their old sound too, you could tell that for the way we loved "Dis-ease" for remembering their hip-hop old school vibes.

But a lot of people don't have the same respect and only say it to hate on their new music, using their old albums as a token. Sometimes army can really come for the wrong people, but most of the time I don't blame them for misunderstood, cause BTS is always getting dragged about it, It's normal being defensive, you know?
