Why will nonstop be affected? I am still not understanding this system other than the fact new releases will benefit from it? The 50% 24 hits uls + 50% realtime uls aren't making sense to me?
The only reason that record is being beaten after nearly 5 years is because of the initial chart change that has massively skewed longevity of hit songs.
I thought the realtime chart and weekly chart works different?

Just my assumption, old songs in the lower spectrum of the chart might get easily push back by new songs and with the new system, I feel like that it will be a bit reactive compared to the current system. I'm really curious with changes of the charting of old songs with the new system and I just hope my assumption will actually be wrong.

Even one year from now OMG will have their 6 months lead over BP. At least if OMG was dropped and in the low 90s your comment would have made sense. You do know these are cumulative weeks spent on the chart right?
How can you say a song that has many months on a song will “easily” over take it when they’re literally charting at the same rank. It will take a good year or more. And that’s also a big MAYBE because the songs don’t seem to be dropping enough.

The reason they are even in the grasp of CU's record is because of the reform anyway. These comparisons between pre-reform and post-reform songs are kinda bad and not accurate.

The over all ULs have comedown indeed so I wouldn’t compare those. But the actual time spent on the this chart is consistent and valid.
So basically, from Jul. 5 2020 to Aug. 8, 2021, these are all "Melon 24Hits" hits.

Yes it does impact it as the change in the chart impacts music consumption and therefore impacts new songs in the top 100. If people aren't discovering new songs why would that not be reflected on the weekly?
Most hits post the chart change have not left yet but you look at the weeks in the melon top 10/1 and those records have been smashed. Dynamite spent 30+ weeks in the top 10 shattering every record. Lovesick Girls spent 20+ weeks in the top 10, shattering the gg record that was jointly held by Tell Me/Cheer Up at 17 weeks.
They clearly state they are changing the charts as new music is harder to find, therefore less new songs in the top 100. The current chart that isn't moving is done by UL's mainly, same as the weekly.

So you're saying nobody uses the real-time chart as an inspiration to what they want to listen? I do it all the time when I'm undecided. I look over charts and get reminded of older songs which I like.

Time spent on chart was going up even before chart reform on these charts.
For example universe and Love shot being EXO’s longest charting songs on daily/weekly charts even higher than their bigger hits like CMB/LMR. Not just true for EXO but all groups that were charting started to chart longer since 2017/2018 year after year.
Correlation is never causation.
It’s not a matter of fact that songs are charting longer now just because of chart reform.
