This. Some of these groups can't chart in Melon top 100 for more than a month now 💀
If anything it shows how large a fanbase is, but even then it's pretty inaccurate. Followers essentially prove nothing.

True, a lot of the followers are probably people who have moved on from their group or from Kpop. but havent bothered unfollowing the groups.
Still, though, this does show us clearly the relative differences in size of the casual/hardcore fandoms of each of the groups. This shows why BTS will never truly flop on Melon their casual/hardcore fanbase is too big, and also shows why the other groups have to work twice as hard to get non followers and other GP to listen to their songs. And why they cant depend on fandom power alone to keep songs at the top 1-10 of Melon charts.
