Does kpop get bigger or just the groups?

Lol, stans don't really care about kpop, they care about their groups. They don't really 'promote' kpop, they promote their faves.

it's just their groups getting pushed. The moment their faves get big, it's "My faves are bigger than Kpop" time.

You should be giving us answers since you have been into kpop since "1st gen".

I think the groups and Kpop.

As groups gets bigger , kpop gets more exposure. Once they get the exposure it's up to the groups to be appealing enough to new ones checking it out for them to then chart.

I dont see sudden increase in charting as a good indication. Just because a genre is getting bigger it doesn't mean that everything ppl are exposed to within it will be successful tbh. It['s not an automatic correlation imo.

Worldwide, KPOP imo. Some group are way ahead than the others tho. I mean, physical sales and youtube views are on the rise in general. On the chart like BB200, back then during 2nd gen era only 4 acts manage to enter the chart (BoA, Bigbang, SNSD, 2NE1), but right now there are 13/14 new acts that can enter the chart. So I'd say thats an improvement overall.

The only place where Kpop are declining/stagnating are the old market like Korea, Japan, and China imo.

K pop is a global industry and the bigger groups get, the big K pop gets. Of course not all groups can make it, but it’s the successful ones who will help put the music on the map.

Just the groups. People rarely explore beyond it. It took me 3-4 years to show interest beyond 1 or 2 groups.
