What are your views on grown up idols always acting cute like babies for fan service

I agree. And aegyo seems to be a pretty big thing over there. It's like performing aegyo...
I also heard that trainees have classes that teach them how to act in public and in front of a camera. -

Yep, and it makes perfect sense to. Fanservice and fan engagement is very important. They also need to be conscious and aware of how to act in public for PR reasons.
So it performs double duty. You can satisfy your fans, maybe get some more, and you avoid scandals at the same time.

I'm apathetic about it. When they do it I understand it's not really a part of their personality for the most part.

It's not fake really, it's just a different side being put forward. Like how I don't act at work like I act at home. I have to be professional at work, so it's a different me.
Idols, while they're on camera, are "at work", so it can be a different side of them we see than their casual side. That's perfectly okay.

Oh yeah, that's true
Yep! I also don't think idols on camera vs at home are drastically different. Only in some cases but sometimes you catch them...

I imagine, for the most part, they're very similar. Just two different settings for the same person. It's like viewing an object through two different colors of glass. It might look a bit different from each perspective, but it's still the same object in the end.

It's a cultural thing and they call it "aegyo"

I don’t hate it as much as I used to. When I first got into Kpop it was almost painful to watch but now I can find it funny at times and am lowkey impressed by how good some idols are at it. Like aegyo is also a skill. But let’s just say that I wouldn’t miss it if it was to disappear. I still can’t understand what Koreans+some i-fans find so appealing with grown ups acting like toddlers.
