If they dont renew...will we ever get EXO again. Not renewing with SM isnt as simple as people make it seem. SM arent going to hand over the name 'EXO' to the boys when they disband. They will be a whole change. Name change, company change etc.

Plus EXO is a brand name, and their is merit attached to it.

not renewing with SM does not necessarily mean leaving SM.. they can have a sub label like suju and can have their own team working around promos, while still getting music from SM..renewing with SM directly wont do much good either... SM made such good use of time with shinee when we could get a few months of ot5, but with exo they pushed it so back that promo became impossible...

and why are exo albums still the ones who get sold out and never get restocked among all other sm artists that are active? if the demand is there then the least they can do it comply with it..

even music is still managed by SM for suju as much as I know but the management and concept planning and all is done with label SJ .. not sure if it is 100% true but that's what I have read

From what I understand Leeteuk is the one convinced SM to give them Label SJ after Super Junior did their tenth anniversary album on their own. He's always been smart about the business side though.

I wish there could be something similar with Exo as well...

i don't understand... They promoted in their social media, exo got teasers and probably youtube ads, what else could they do?

some members have already enlisted, so no way for them to promote on music shows anyway.
