The vocals in the song are so good that you don't actually realise how sick the instrumental is. The beat and bass go together so perfectly and the transitions between tempos are just so clean. Not to mention all of the car rev and honk noises in the background really kinda add a street vibe to it, don't you think? The beginning also gives off a somewhat subtle creepy vibe pulling you into the instrumental more.
So I researched and found a really cool video where the producers of the song, who are called "The Stereotypes" (who usually produce music for Bruno Mars and also did many kpop songs) explain the process of how this song came to be.
