yes it's a remake, but SM added their own flavor and it made the song much better and the vast majority of people agree about it

The answer is that the chorus is VERY good and catchy in every way: musically, lyrically and with choreo as well. For example, I didn't like song initially (I still don't like that whole beat drop part, just skip it) but chorus was great already.
