I dislike Gangnam style from the moment it was released and was lowkey mad the views were so much crazier than Soshi's LOL. But I don't think it's embarassing, the guys is expressing his culture on his own way.

GS is a bit of mockery song of you read the lyrics so it's meant to be silly. PPAP is clearly a meme song.

Both are deliberately meant to be the way they are so neither are really embarrassing.
