Night.
An enigmatic time.
One that can take on a different tone and feel depending on the circumstance and one's mood and surroundings.
It can be quiet. Still. Contemplative. Comforting. Lonely.
It can be chaotic. Energetic. Mysterious or suspenseful.
It can be Exciting. Devilish.
It has a chameleon quality to it. An ability to enhance the moment by how it's presented or inhabited. Our mood and state of mind.
When the light fades and the darkness takes hold.
We're left with only ourselves to guide us.
It becomes a mirror to our conscience. Our inner id.
A window into our soul.
A magic hour.
It's my favorite time.
And my most preferred to listen to music.
So I thought I'd start a series where I share selections of songs that are particularly fitting for listening at night.
