Do you think album samplers/teasers sometimes gives too much of thr song away?

I never saw a teaser that gave 'too much away' But I get the people who don't want to know anything before the album/title track drop, though.

Is this just a JYP tradition? I've never seen BigHit do it for their groups though.

I don't like the idea of album samplers tbh.

Teasers are good but should not be longer

than 30 seconds. Also I only like teasers with instrumentals and no vocals because they also give you song titles beforehand.

Companies should be giving bare minimum to the fans through these promotional things. Let them guess and be intrigued about how it's gonna sound rather than giving away almost everything.

No it makes me anticipate songs more. I like jyp style. Sometimes I like the fanmade teaser remixes more than the actual songs lol.

I like them. It helps me decide what songs I might like.

but I'm also not a spoilerphobe and I actually love spoilers, so I think I just can't relate to this.

When teasers do get released they are usually instrumentals made to follow the same format of the song's arrangement, if anything, the teasers sound quite different than the final product of the song. But I do agree with this, as it creates more anticipation for what is to be released. Therefore, there should not be any significant details from the actual song in a teaser.

(Not gonna lie, but sometimes the teasers sound a lot better than the original song itself, in my opinion).

BTS are the ones who started this thing I guess (correct me if I am wrong) coz I remember HYYH era had this type of thing released but BTS have stopped doing so since Wings era. I guess it was only one time thing for them.

Other HYBE groups do release these. I remember TxT, Gfriend, Seventeen releasing them.

I don't think BH released 30 second album teasers for BTS though. JYP ones show 30 secs preview clips for every song in the album. BH ones are never this long.

I appreciate if it was just instrumental no vocals, it ruins my listening experience

IDK I don't listen to the album samplers as I do not like the idea of them. I guess JYPE is doing things differently.

But if you see this Day6 one, it is similar to what BTS did back then. This is good promotion of the album. I am intrigued but I was already anticipating their album so still not over the idea of album samplers lol.

I don't mind highlight medleys but RBW sucks at title track teasers. They give out too many and fans are actually able to mash it up and guess what the song will sound like.

Still mad about Eclipse. It was pretty much the entire thing.

Same with Hip and many others.

i stopped listening to album teasers. I feel like the surprise isnt there when im listening the album if i heard teasers first

I mean Twice's "Eyes Wide Open" Album Highlight Melody is literally 5 minutes long. Could've just released the whole album instead, if they were gonna spoil the chorus (30 seconds) for each song.

Yes, I also wish that companies should just give a normal teaser not an album teaser because they always end up tease the chorus. The chorus is the important part of a song for someone to enjoy it.

I personally don’t like teasers for songs/albums or videos. I prefer it to be a surprise especially if the comeback is eagerly anticipated. It spoils it for me.
