I-DLE - Mono MV (ft. skaiwater) - bop or flop?

Bop - this is so catchy! I love the bass intro.

Not a fan of the Skaiwater rap but it’s brief so I can ignore it.

So it's a song in English, with no songwriting involvement from the members. I see... Is it an "official" comeback? It doesn't seem like it; the MV looks kinda cheap. I didn't know about this Skaiwater fella before, and I don't want to know any more now. The pronoun thing is so 2020.

Was it worth the wait? No.

[correction] I just saw rumors on reddit that the icebluerabbit person credited on lyrics and music could be Soyeon, or another member, or possibly several of them together hidden behind a pen name. So maybe it's not a third party song. Still, even though the beat is fine, it's also quite one-dimensional, flat.

As much as I love them, Mono is another average Western collab. It's easy to tell neither of them had a part in the songwriting, because it's bland, and yes, most people will talk about that one line, but I don't care about Queerbaiting.

I'd love it if they released it in mono tho.😂

I usually don’t really care about lyrics but it’s a litlle it too surface level if you want to talk about LGBTQ community then the message should be deeper imo.

The lyrics are kind of cringey, in a different way than usual (because someone different wrote it), but the song is alright. Not great by any means, but better than some of their other recent output. The feature didn't add anything of value.

Sleek and vibey instead of loud and tacky.

Honestly one of the best songs I've heard from I-dle, so everybody else hating it kinda tracks.

Pretty chill song, I like it.

Definitely better than their last releases.
