Is YG hiding Rami's exit of the group?

  • Or is this just the same situation like with Ahyeon and Rami will return?

Not exactly known, but don't be too surprised if she debuts in his next GG either next year or 2027.

  • The reason her fanbase was freaking out was because they used the MAMA track of DRIP instead of the original track. There's no more or less chance of her coming back than a week ago but somewhat understandably her solo-fanbase has been a little touchy over the last 7 months.

I saw a tweet where Rami fans were complaining that not one member of the group mentioned her when they won an award. If she was just having a hiatus because of a medical condition, you would think that at least one member would have said something, even just as simple as "we miss you Rami".

But the fact that everyone in the group is radio silent about her makes me wonder if they've been ordered to keep their mouths shut by YG for some unknown reason. Has ANYONE in the group said one word about Rami in the past few months? What about during concerts? Interviews?

Cause if not, they are treating her like she's under investigation for bullying or some shit like that, like the way other groups move when a member is about to be kicked out.

It's second hand account but someone did ask Pharita about her during a fansign and last month and said that she was still recovering but was getting better. The last official update from YG was right before WE GO UP.

I'm personally not worried, just want her to be 100% before she comes back, because her issues were present from the Sheesh era and I'm honestly amazed she made it the 13 months without fully fixing the issue in the first place. (which is honestly more worrying than the extended hiatus now for me)

  • It was already announced that she's suffering from a serious lung illness. She's a vocalist. That's obviously going to affect her, so it makes sense that it takes some time to recover.

They always announce some type of illness. Ex Momoland Member Daisy said, Companys say said Idol is sick and is taking a Hiatus which usually means Plastic Surgery Recovery. But we'll see anyway once she's back.

The members talk to fans about how she's doing, at fansigns

YG gives no official update though

  • Rami was diagnosed with pneumothorax even during the elimination show .When you think about it, it’s actually crazy how well she performed during the US and Asia tours despite that and she’s the main vocal on top of everything. BABYMONSTER is a group that tours a lot, so I don’t think Rami will have the luxury of fully recovering with such a packed schedule.

I totally get why fans are worried; no matter what, people want some kind of update from the company. But honestly, I don’t think the situation is as dramatic as some make it out to be. I’m pretty sure Rami will come back, and I really don’t see her leaving the group or getting kicked out.

For BAEMON, I think YGE wants them to be the type of group that keeps their personal life and professional life completely separate. Maybe it's to protect them or maybe it's to maintain a certain public image.

BABYMONSTER doesn't even go on IG live the way other groups do.

Other groups market themselves differently. For example, we have aespa Ningning randomly going on live just to eat ice cream. aespa gets leeway when it comes to that because the members are known for being unhinged and "chronically online." Their fans love that, but it runs the risk of them slipping up and doing something controversial.

  • I’m not liking how long the hiatus is already, but they put Rami’s name on the music show sets of we go up and she is in ads that were filmes before and are only being released recently, so she is not out (at least for now).

I’m also not sure it the issue is lung related.

The girl has been limping at airports for months, and they made her perform and dance when she could not even walk straight instead of letting her be in a chair or something.

In my opinion it’s a leg related issue that got worse because of the continuous strain they put on it.

Pneumotorax get reabsorbed if they are small and if they are big you drain them, it doesn’t take 7 months to heal from that (unless she has a congenital lung disease like deficiency of alpha1 antitrypsin)

  • Pnuemothorax is something that can (and often needs to) be fixed. Aespa's Winter had one, required surgery and was active again mere weeks later. The only reason you'd leave it alone is if it's relatively minor, which shouldn't take the better part of a year to recover from. Sounds fishy to me.

I didn’t know that. Yeah, the long rest period is a bit suspicious, but some illnesses can affect people differently even if the condition is the same, our bodies don’t always react the same way. Of course, other factors could also be at play. YG hasn’t been transparent about this, which naturally leads people to speculate a lot.

Still, I think Rami will come back and that leaving the group isn’t on the table. I’ve seen a few things on X suggesting she’ll return for the next comeback, so I hope that’s true. Honestly, I miss her, her absence is really noticeable.

Daisy said that the company sometimes lied about their idols' health to undergo plastic surgery. the key word here is "sometimes" but you all ran with it and now as soon as an idol goes on hiatus for health reasons, people begin to speculate.

Rami had health problems since her debut days, I find that a but insensitive to go with the plastic surgery explanation when we have no idea what's going on.

One does not preclude the other. Asa pre debut had a completely different face than she has now. Pharita is starting to resemble Park Bom. We know how YG was obsessed with Plastic Surgery. So it wouldn't surprise me if she had something done simultaneously

I know the Daisy video you're referring to, so I see where you're coming from.

I just don't think YGE would take Rami out of the lineup for a whole year when BABYMONSTER had a busy year with the tour and multiple comebacks. The fans love Rami, and her vocals are a strong selling point. There's just too much to intentionally lose out on.
