I don't think that they couldn't lead but there's still a lot of 5th gen groups yet to debut and there's a chance we haven't seen the biggest 5th gen group yet.

Tbh I’ve no idea things are a bit complicated and it’s still early to say. but my bets are on H2H, Baemon, and Illit. I think the next hit might come from h2h, I’ve never seen an SM girl group without at least one hit.

I'm very unsure if any of the top 3 5th gen groups debuted yet. I felt Illit had the best chance with their instant success but had trouble maintaining it. Then I'm very unsure if Babymonster or H2H will be in the top 3, but both groups have a chance. I just think the longevity of multiple 4th gen groups weakened the impact for 5th gen groups. It's why I feel the top 3 groups hasn't debuted yet.

I'm curious if Illit can change the discourse surrounding the group and regain casual listeners. . I think many sleep on how strong their performance in Japan is. That's a key market to be strong in and could be something to position themselves as a top 3 group. I think they're best positioned to be top 3, but they need another hit

Katseye, Allday (via Samsung money), and Illit. Notice how only one of these is a traditional Kpop group.

Currently there’s no top 3 since no 3 or even 1 group is leading in all categories

These are the groups who show the most potential to be the big 3:

- H2H

- BM

- Illit

- KiiiKiii

- Izna

Baemon seems the most set in stone if we are talking overall Korea + World

Y'all be saying they had no hits no hits but neither have any of the 5th gen GGs except for ILLIT

Baemon has at least been consistently average which is more than I can say for many other groups

Katseye doesn't count because they are unknown in Korea

If only QWER had more international impact they would definitely be counted because they seem to be the biggest in Korea now charting wise

TBH, none.

5th gen is generally flop. None of the groups currently are receiving attention. Except maybe ADP, we'll know if they get another hit on the next comeback.

For now I refuse to put anyone on the top just because they are less flop than others.

too early to tell since a lot of the fourth are still owning and thus keeping the fifth gen from gaining much dominance
