The entire reason I felt like ILAND2 wasn't rigged like other Survival shows and I had some faith restored was because she made the final lineup when it was clear to me from how the show was edited that the show runners did not want her in the final lineup

i felt something was wrong way back when it was revealed she was on Hiatus before the comeback

I had next to Zero faith in Survival Shows before ILAND2, and now I am looking back and realizing this one was clearly also heavily manipulated

I bet the whole "Surprise" adding a 7th member was just to get the 6 they already previously planned on debuting

But tbh it was expected. She was hiatus just after 3 months after debuted and missed for 2 straight comeback. Beside there were almost no news about her excpt when someone saw her walking around with her friend.

I hate it if it's true. She was my fav from the first episode (I voted for 3J).

She is needed in Izna. She was main vocal and also one of the member that have many hard fans. Losing her actually is big loss for group and fans.

I wonder the "real" reason behind her left.

This kind of situation always leaves a bitter taste. It's impossible to determine the veracity of such statements. For whose benefit was the decision really made? I'm sure the astronomical power imbalance between both parties played no part in the decision-making process... At the end of the day, the company controls the narrative. They always do.

Of course, there always exists a scenario where the right decision was indeed made for both the company and the individual. However, it's hard not to imagine the lesser party being manipulated into thinking the decision is reasonable. One can only hope that the decision made was truly in Jiyoon's best interest. I've seen this same situation play out a thousand times before, and it never gets easier. It's a shame that you eventually begin to expect it at the slightest sign, almost as if it's the natural course. Still, it's clear from the comments here that she'll be missed for many reasons. She was a great addition to the group and her absence will be felt. Beyond simply wishing her well, I can only hope her circumstances improve and we see her again in some capacity, as she's still so young, and it would be a shame for her potential to go to waste.

Honestly, it's much better for her to leave, give her 6 months, and she's gonna debut as a soloist. At least that's what she should do.

First Youngseo is mysteriously dropped from ILLIT. Then the Korean members are mysteriously ousted from Madein, and now this?

What is going on!? Like, I get removing a member if it is a scandal, the member isn't cooperating, or if the member wants to be removed from the contract. But, in these cases, I get the impression that the members were unilaterally removed from the group with no reasonable explanation other than the company just doesn't want them in the group anymore.

If that's the case, what was the point of them being there in the first place? It just seems so disorganized. Like, these companies really do just throw things at a wall and see if it sticks. In that regard, SM and Min Heejin should be praised. Cause at least they had a consistent vision for AESPA and New Jeans.

I don't follow the group much but like some of their songs. Isn't she their best vocalist? How is the group going to manage without her?

I am starting to wonder what's happening behind the scenes with 5th gen group because it seems to be the norm for a member from a high profile group to leave early.
