Hey so BLACKPINK didn't use AI

I don't think anyone really thought that dancers were AI

It's the other stuff like when they zoom around the city that looks a bit off

I don't think it was that part. There are moment in the MV where the background and some of the faces look off.

I actually work with AI, because I'm FORCED to as a graphic designer and film editor.

Not everything in this MV is AI, especially the dancers, but it's pretty easy to see what was actually made with AI, because it looks like hot garbage. Even the members were in 4 different rooms, probably, the whole background was AI generated, even tho there are actual renders of cities.

A real VFX made from scratch doesn't look like this. VFX teams are basically forced to generate AI clips, and fix it later, because it makes the workflow faster, and most importantly, MUCH CHEAPER for the customer!

So in short: It's AI fixed by real people as much as they can. Netflix and other Streaming platforms also use AI for their subtitles and ask people to correct the mistakes.

It wasn't the dancers that most people think is AI.

Also, this! A trained eye can see everything, unlike the average person. The same goes for music.

It's okay if people don't know how AI or VFX etc works, but if you don't know something, do some research or just don't say anything. This account calling everyone a hater and their faves a flop, just to validate their "opinion".

Honestly, I'm kinda fed up with the film industry in general, because fans saying nonsense like: "This guy is a professional director, and popular one as well, he would never use AI."

Yeah, right. Didn't Disney just released a Marvel TV Show fully made with AI?

All of them have fully packed solo schedules going on AND they just started a world tour. I would rather they use some elements of AI than them burn themselves out more while shooting the MV for a song.

I couldn't care less about their packed schedules, they're not 5, they're ADULTS, and it's not even about them! YG wanted big money fast, so they used AI and 1 song to give them some nice headlines. Let's be real, the girls don't care about BP or this cb either. They have a contract so they're pretty much forced to do it. If they have a choice, it's obvious they wouldn't do a World Tour now.

Also, for an MV like this, you don't need much shooting, 90% of the MV is VFX/AI, the only thing YG needed is more time, but if they're working on the MV longer they would release it like 2-3 weeks later.

YG should've done a real cb this year with 8-10 new songs, and the tour next year. They literally did everything in 2 months. No wonder their cb is a hot mess, to say the least.

There is AI all over that MV. Particularly bad AI too. The dancers being real doesn't prove there isn't.

But do you know that using AI for creative media equals stealing from real artists? In order to create anything AI has to be "fed" with other people's artworks, not to mention the company could've hired real video artists to create it too. BP are musical artists, would you also say it's okay if other people stole from them to create music, because you're excusing the use of AI in this MV?

I didn't mean to comment here but AI in any form of art is so so bad for real artists who spend endless hours on honing their craft and actually creating, nothing can excuse it.

YG might have as well created a slightly different MV or schedule the filming much earlier, it wasn't impossible. Them creating an MV without AI doesn't mean the girls would have burned themselves out, it's just a matter of better planning instead of taking the easy route.

Edit: I also want to add that it's easy for people to say it's okay or that they don't care if they don't make a living out of creating art and that living isn't risked by the growing use of AI. I'm not an active artist myself but I clearly see how bad it is and it's stealing from other people.
