About the title literally everyone who paid attention and wasn't sold on the fan narrative. Always thought the group was supposed to be a launch pad for solo careers, especially at the beginning of Jennie which then later turned into 4 solo careers.

Yge is short on finance.

starting this year, all mvs coming out of yge are kinda cheap. No expensive sets like what they used to do. It first became noticeable with trsr's yellow. Then baemon's hot sauce.

Even the vfx for BP's Jump was poorly done.

So they sent all their active groups on touring for getting that money.

Right now..i just want jisoo to release the remaining songs she said she is working on.

It's not their "solo careers" that carrying them. Since a couple of years back it's their indivudual fame and kpop icon status that boost the group and their solos. Or let say it's Lisa's and Jennie's status. Maybe you mean the same thing with "solo careers".

The girls evolved, proper solo endeavors and top notch works, unfortunately the company is still the same, only look at their other acts.

I don't think their solos are what saved their cb. BP is bigger than any BP soloist. The hype for their group cb always existed with or without the girls solo career. On contrary, it's thanks to BP that the girls had such successful solo cbs and this tour is obviously happening and selling great bc it's BP. As of now none of the girls have the capacity to sell out a tour as big as this one.

BP is still the biggest and the most loved. They four together are still more loved than they four individually which is normal, specially when BP are literally the second biggest kpop act ww.

Sure the girls solos were huge success, but BP albums did better in any metric, not counting apt that is a viral hit like GS.

But it kind of goes both way, even if I agree that it's the group that make them individually popular, it's also their individually popularity and status that gives the group it's "staying power". Had the members not have the status they had Blackpink would not have been able to keep it's status for so long with so few songs and activity during the last couple of years. If you compare with Twice they have a much harder time too stay relevant at the top as soon as their song releases got fewer.

Yes, but BP the group cb and tour is all bc of their group career over the years.

well during their hiatus it's obvious that if you couldn't get the Pinks content as a collective then you would consume the Pink's content individually

well yeah...the solos are the saving grace of the tour. No one interested in watching them perform whistle and boombayah again for the 9th year in a row.

Agree that it is both way

BP the group and the 4 of them are not separable. No matter how the solo akgae try to push thE narrative that their fave is better as soloist. The moment they quit BP group, they will immediately lose a big chunk of support/attention from casual listeners.

The group also benefited from exposures brought by 4 of them as soloist. That's what kept them 'relevant' without BP group being forgotten
