Those pseudo feminist GG Stan’s who hate BG’s dancing GG choreo are literally bottom tier of kpop fandoms

  • I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Are y’all ok? No there’s absolutely nothing wrong in switching it up to match styles. Everyone has different styles. And it’s not even just the BG groups if you see original choreographer even they sometimes dance differently from the GG choreos.

    It is honestly completely ok.

Get off your high horse and this random idea of what “insulting” is.

Cutesy stuff in some GG choreo is just cringe same as how some hip thrust in some BG choreos are cringe af as well. I’m completely okay with either gender ignoring these components.

  • Their moves are more stiff ? Girls are more flexible imo so male idols will find difficulty in reproducing some moves. I'm sorry if I expressed myself wrong.

No, I could already tell what you mean.

But I disagree, nonetheless. Yes, girls are generally more flexible but I don't think dancing awkwardly and throwing off the visual balance of another group's choreo is due to simply dancing in your own style. It's due to an expression of hypermasculinity and I'm sure you can already guess why.

  • I usually don’t like how bgs dance to gg chores cuz it looks awful imo, but I never hate them. I wish they danced closer to original.

This is how gg dances should be covered :yesr:

No, I understand it, but some male idols do dance well even though more "stiff" and are hated bc of it when we can see they aren't trying to mock the girls dance.

I don't think generalization is a good idea and by tic's thread I understood she must be saying it about male idols who dance good and still get hate for it, not the ones who try to do mockery over dance.

I can see why some are criticized, but now everyone who doesn't dance 10000% like the group choreo is being hated and imo over nothing. As long as you do it respectfully you don't deserve the hate or criticism.

I mean yeah, I understand where she's coming from. I will never criticize a male idol for dancing a gg choreo differently because a lot of times I can see why they do it.

All I can do is get disappointed when, in some cases, an idol has to "switch up" the easiest choreo ever in to their own style. I just don't see the point in it.

Agreed on the disappointment part. Sometimes you want to see the choreo on a dancer with different strengths and they just shy away from showcasing it. I won't criticise but it's makes them boring.

Sometimes it's fairly obvious how stiff someone is and I kinda give them a pass because nobody wants the whole world to know their booty has no shake to it.

Also on the flip side SKZ Changbin got so much hate for his love me like this dance challenge because he had no problems going full feminine. Like let him have fun please.

Yup. I honestly just skip most of those types of videos because I don't see the point in accepting to do a dance challenge if you're not even going to make an effort.

    LMFAO

    That's my favorite dance challenge.

And also why I love Changbin. He's not afraid to express himself in the way that deviates from the norm.

  • I think it’s weird how so many male K-pop idols are terrified of moving their hips even a little. It’s normal in many cultures for the man the move their hips when dancing, maybe it’s a culture thing but I still can’t help but be disappointed when they mess up the choreo when I know they can do much better. It’s not like they’re expected to twerk

  • I disagree but I'll still the give the boys an E for effort.

And precisely what does dancing "like a man" entail?

This is just a dumb take. There is 100% a more feminine way of dancing and a more masculine way of dancing. Esp in the kpop space where the distinction is so stark

There is NOTHING wrong in dancing either way THATS’s the point. And if you think there is honestly yeah just a pseudo feminist take because you hate BG’s that’s all there is to it.

(Not talking about disliking the choreo and dancing style etc it’s more around making it some big anti women agenda)

I agree with this. Idols get hate both ways. And imo it’s ok to do it both ways. As long as the idols do it earnestly and not mocking.

Not a dumb take, you're just overcomplicating things.

  • Unpopular opinion but now a days, kpop ggs stans are generally much more toxic towards everyone except their own faves.

It's only my observation but bg stans tend to remain in their own spaces most of the time and fight with each other, (except some of the bigger fandoms) while you see a lot gg stans trolling under popbase accounts, trolling other girl groups for no reason, calling every other bg ugly and talentless.

May be the reason behind it is that ggs acquired a lot of edgy western pop girls and models stans through blackpink's success in fashion and they see trolling and being vile on social media as some kind of fun hobby😒😒

  • People make fun of GG choreo all the time, so people are naturally going to get defensive since GGs go through so much misogyny already. And even when a male idol does it correctly, he is made fun of too for being too feminine. I think everyone these days is afraid of being made fun of or that their faves are being made fun of.
