How did Hybe manage to keep BTS after a decade but YG lost BP?

I don't think BP were locked in a basement too. I think the plan was always to have the group serve as a launch pad for 4 solo careers.

It was a simple harmless question. They didn’t even shade BP, but BTS. No need to be this sensitive.

I think it was lack of music given to Bp, compared to BTS. Also YG since the beginning of their career pushed them solo instead of group. So it might be the reason as well. Yg should blame themselves for that

They have shares but some of them have sold theirs. Its nothing compared to their earnings from sales and tours.

google says bts renewed their contracts in 2018 and then again in 2023 right?

but didn't they debut in 2013?

Jungkook, V, RM and Jimin will be back next week so there's that.

BH have handle their group career and enlistment well so I dont see why they wont renew. For their individual career, BH maybe could do better but the members are doing well in terms of tour, stream, and sales.

and are their renewal contracts like what 5 years compared to 3?

cos I would think after the first renewal they got way better terms (splits) and freedom

They did have the standard 7 years contract but they renewed early for touring purpose and better terms since they were getting bigger back then.

For their solo, they pretty much can do what they want.

BTS probably had a lot more leveraging power in shaping HYBE how they wanted to. Cuz they basically made HYBE.

Also bts are a bg with military enlistment so they’re stalled. We don’t know how they’ll behave once they’re all out the military and in 2-3 years time maybe they’ll also look elsewhere like American or global labels for solo promo.
