Didn't one of the CEOs, or someone at Hybe, say about sharing ideas or smth? I think then... it worked a little too well (which is probably why they didn't like MHJ, as she wouldn't allow for her creative work to be shared).
As of late, Hybe music feels rather... flat.
Yes, lazy is a word I would describe, but also... their music starts from a good place, but feels as if everything starts to slow down to the point where you all asleep as it progresses 😴

it’s just something interesting most didn’t know
HOT and Cherish don't even resemble each other. The producers made two great songs with the same basic background and it worked perfectly for the groups. The songs contains itheir respective groups identity and essence, that's what matters the most.

That's basically what makes pop music pop music. Enough familiarity to feel accessible with just enough variation to not feel exactly the same. This is just especially noticeable because they were released pretty closely together. But you will find examples of this all over the place. Granted, it is happening more recently, which is part of why I'm losing interest in Kpop. Kpop as a whole used to be a lot more experimental.
There are some similarities but it seems the arrangement is different. It does seem a bit odd to use them both as title tracks though .

These two songs do in fact sound far too similar. Ofc pop songs can have similarities but the question is why is one company having so many songs released that sound so similar so close together.
IMO that’s valid criticism
Teddy used to get the same type of criticism as well on why he released the same song 50 times over. People are allowed to think this is low effort. Because honestly it is.
