What is happening with IU ???

    From what I can see, people are digging up rather low grade, but problematic stuff she might have said long ago.


    Theres two reasons suspected for this

    1. She was friends with kim soo hyun and posted a selfie with him last year. She's now getting guilt by association mobbed.

    2. Pro-Yoon (former criminal President) groups, particularly from DC gallery and other misogynist places have taken a big issue with her being pro-democracy/anti-Yoon and have made her a main target for their smear and hate campaigns. These are the same group that reported her to the CIA for being a Communist.


    OR the two reasons are related, with the Pro-Yoon scumbags trying for a while to get their shit campaign to stick, and the KSH stuff is a weak point they can exploit.

    i saw that a lot of people are actually criticizing IU

    cuz Sulli brother said that the female lead role was offer to IU first, but she rejected it and she was the one who handed the script to Sulli to star in the movie

    Man can we just yeet her whole family away from the media, except the grandma? Her mom yapped about her personal mental health issues that she did not want publicized and did a unauthorized documentary, her dad wants her money and now her brother is yapping away about her exes and people who were her best friends up until her death.


    It seems her grandparents are the only ones who actually respected her privacy and her as a person.

    Sooo... something that was only bad with the gift of hindsight?

    I wouldn't be surprised if Sulli didn't tell many people offset what she experienced on The Real. She more than likely chalked up her experience to a common dirty aspect of the movie industry (which is was pre-metoo) hence why she swore off them altogether.

    Well whenever there is great success, there are bound to be people who feel impelled to fling mud. Part of being celebrity.

    2 years back they tried the plagiarism BS, then she was the North Korean Spy etc


    Basically rehashing decade old crap and trying to tar her with guilt by association with KSH etc.

    I read his instagram post before he deleted it and he didn't actually say IU passed the script to sulli. he said after IU rejected the role, the script was passed to sulli. people asked him in the comments to clarify and he didn't, which makes me think he doesn't know the full details. but the original script was also quite different, the original director even said the script changed mid-shooting which is partly why the first director quit.

    iu antis always get quite busy whenever she hits some kind of career high (they were also working overtime every time she sold out her stadium concerts), so they've been latching onto the success of her recent netflix drama as well.

    As Asianjunkie wrote "IU has the dumbest controversies of all"


    And it gets dumber each time.


    And more dumb it gets, greater her next success is.


    So maybe this means the Daesang at the Baeksang Awards

    Not really. S Korean public has repeatedly shown they don't give a damn about such allegations about IU.


    The worst was during Chatshire, zeze controversy and yet she still got her #1s, sold out concerts during the massive storm around her.

    That issue made to even major news broadcasts, discussed in international shows too.


    This is just a bunch of idiots stiring the decade old rubbish.

    Happens everytime she hits another career high.

    Happens to other idols too


    Some people can't accept that anyone can be successful without being unethical/manipulative. That's because they themselves are "losers" and they want an excuse that they aren't winners, because they are ethical & good, therefore all winners have to be unethical or even illegal in someway.


    Most of these IU stuff are laughable. She nicknamed Suzy as elephant, she rejected a script & passed it to Sulli, that was later proven a bad experience.. Such nonsense can be made up about anybody..


    The dumbest one is about "she accepted that she scammed others".. Referring to an interview where she talked about her "imposter syndrome", where people feel that they don't deserve the success. Are insecure whether the success will last etc.?


    Anyway, IU has faced worse, and these have no substance to them. Sure EDAM is going to sue and get more snack money for her.
