If not for big hit BTS wouldn't exist the same way without BTS big hit wouldn't be a big4 company so rather than riding or not, both are getting what they should get based on their work together.

There is no BTS without BSH.

BSH has been working on running groups for a long career, he failed a lot, even BTS success came slowly. But when it came it was massive.

He deserves credit for it.

Whatever be his other faults and failures.

Business leaders, like political leaders aren't ethical paragons, may not be nice people either.

Still they took the risk and deserve the awards, credits for the cases they succeeded.

Of course that doesn't excuse them of other illegal, unethical acts

He had good choices that led to what BTS was in their big break, but bighit's creative team at the time, producers and members focused mentality in working hard were just as responsible and deserve credit

also fans too I feel like fans believed so much in BTS that it gave them strength to achieve new highs

how can he ride off their success when he is the resson behind their sucess. he created them.

BTS are creative savants and standout performers, but without BSH as their producer and his business savvy, BTS would not be the group they are today. I tolerate his existence as a necessary part of BTS's formation and rise to success, but as a person I couldn't give less of a shit about him. It's clear that he is enjoying the fruits of his labor now that BTS are firmly established both as a group and soloists.

I guess I'm the only one who wouldn't give credit to him for the success of BTS. If he really had that midas touch he'd have given us at least one more hit group like jyp. I credit entire team especially members. And yes he's still riding BTS coattails.

tbh he didn't even produce any other group like BTS, TXT was literally so far from what BTS was that everyone was confused at their debut... him letting rap line be involved in the creative process, it led to members valuing the group and even encouraging the vocal line to search about music, artists out of the mainstream and write their own lyrics

I don’t think Bsh contribute much in the brilliant move of Bts. There’s another person who was behind a lot of their smart moves, but I can’t remember his name. I’ve seen armys talk about how bsh took credit for his work.

Then there’s that woman who help built Bts’s connections in the Us. But got fired after doing such a great job. When it comes to the music side, Big Hit’s main producer deserves the real credit.

So, I can say that his biggest contribution in Bts is his money

He had already earned the moniker of "Hitman" long before BTS, working with JYP.

He is an important part of JYPE's success, as say Pdogg is for BigHits.

So BTS aren't his only success.

Besides, even if it is only one, such a success is extremely rare and credit should still be given.

Though it is futile to separate out agencies- producers- idols, if it is demanded the higher percentage of credit always goes to the person who took the higher risk, who took the initiative and had the drive.

Ignorance is indeed a choice.

For some reason everyone has forgotten or ignored the fact that BSH's father works in the government in a high position, let's be honest. He already had support from the government, it's unlikely that the father would not help his son promote a group that has achieved such incredible success without anything. All these tales about success based on talent already look like a joke after revealing so much information.

Exactly, BSH and the whole BH team formed an amazing group but it was the guys themselves that inspired a whole fanbase to follow them.

Highly disagree about not having another hit group. TXT is a worthy addition to the Bighit story. Forming a second group that can sell out arenas and festivals in multiple countries is a sign that BH can create profitable groups outside of BTS. Yes, TXT hasn't had a huge hit in Korea but that doesn't make them unsuccessful.

If you disagree, it is what it is but I have said my piece.

Why is it that more and more - so many people have to think it’s all or nothing or majority vs minority? Reality has always been a blend of multiple factors (talent, people connection, and timing too) and credit of BTS’s massive success goes to several people starting with BTS themselves and then BSH and all the people they work with and of course ARMY.

Next BTS inspiring this level of fan fanaticism/obsession/involvement (whatever you call it) is not possible until the current one is forgotten. Other popular in kpop fandoms are merely in response to ARMY to a great extent.

There is space in any industry/culture only for one massive case at a time and for a time. The second will be fairly outdistanced.

And yes, there is no formula for it.

BTS got lucky.

However in such cases, the "deservedness" can come after the initial luck, amplifying in a feedback loop back and forth.

That BTS indeed earned.

Even in the hyper compressed cultural dynamic of these days, another such mass movement can't happen soon.

It doesn't matter at all how good the artists or how smart the agency.
