  • this shouldnt be okay, thats very crazy

It's never okay and unfortunately these things do leave trauma. His behaviors will be forever changed by it. He did later make a post about it and said he wouldn't go into detail about what that person did to him. He and the staff member were treated at the hospital for their injuries.

These incidents will always leave trauma and some form of PTSD. I've known people that have been in situations like this have a panic moment when they would play fight with their friends etc because the very act triggers that. I've seen people constantly checking corners and behind them, touching them unannounced gets a starling response and this was from someone who did boxing as a hobby.

  • The thing is that they shouldn't have to know self defense but unfortunately we live in a world like that.

yeah. maybe get security if you can afford it. buncha crazies out there that have a thing for famous people. sometimes it's nice to just be a rando nobody

  • They have security. The thing is most people don't think they need security at home he was attacked at home

oh, yeah. that's what i meant. not everyone can afford that but i think a lot of famous people can. still a hassle to have to spend extra just in case. crappy part of the gig, i guess

  • I hope he is safe, his company offers improved security and sessions to address the trauma. I am glad this case turned out well so far.

Hopefully, they can get this toxic fan an appropriate and serious consequences.

All the major KPOP companies should come together and fund organizations and government to improve mental well-being and rehabilitation programs for obsessive and toxic fans. Just waaaaaay too many now and I don’t understand why they aren’t taken more seriously.

Yes they can but it's same thing I mentioned. Complacency and normalcy bias we all as humans suffer from it in some fashion. Most people don't believe that this will happen to them, so most don't invest in learning self defense fighting or carrying a gun or anything.

Same applies to celebrities they are just as human as you and I and despite their status the often times have the same thoughts or faults.

People are home as their safe space, hardly anyone thinks that will be shattered, most people let their guards down at home because that's supposed to be where you are comfortable at where you are safe at hence why most people don't hire security at home or being security guards home, so it's no surprise that this happened once. Trust me once, that safety is broken it won't happen again. It will not be surprising if you see them doing a live stream and they have guards in their bed rooms with them.

I understand why some celebs don't get security, that's not daily lifestyle many want for themselves, even if that results in these unfortunate events.

~ Retired exol, don't ask me about that group. ~

I fear that's simply not going to happen. Companies often encourage sasaengs, like SM for example.

They might to some extent encourge the making of saseangs with this toxic parasocial relationship BS that is prevalent in kpop. But there's a limit to it. As much as we hate this word the idols are a product the company owns this product it makes them money, they stand to gain nothing if the product is damaged (harmed by someone)or worse destroyed.( Suicide or killed by someone)

They know these nutjobs pay alot of money on the idols making the agency money. But they do not condone the behavior of some of these people as the ones that cause measurable harm can cause them losses. ( I can't turn a profit of my idol is hospitalized or dead) That said these extreme cases will receive the maximum amount of punishment and prevention possible
