Did LSFM become the target?

  • Since the mess it looks like no one is brave enough to go after BTS or the CEO himself and instead choose the girl group to attack

    Is this sheep mindset or?

Everyone attack LSFM for apparently plagiarizing Red Velvet

But everyone silent when AESPA stole LSFM concept of catwalk/model in whiplash

    Discusssss

  • The anti-HYBE movement along with their earlier scandals (some legit criticisms, some less so) have made them relatively easy punching bags for hit tweet fishers. However, they recently sold 700k in the first week of their latest release, so it seems to be largely just internet talk for fandom wars. Nothing that other K-pop groups haven't gone through before to be honest.

  • I think Hybe incels are the worst that could happen in a company and use their groups as targets of negative reactions like in LSRFM case where since debut they have similarities with so many different acts, Rosalía specially, and they'll keep doing it to create a sick fandom like twitter armys.

  • "Plagiarizing" no one owns a concept. Comebacks are planned months ahead, but I don't doubt there's some internal trading of information if ykwim... the timing does seem a bit off but otherwise-

I do think the dark concept is pretty mainstream though, really, no concept can be owned. As for the catwalk, thats just very AESPA and I seriously doubt you can call it plagiarized. If you even look at concept photos between the too, there's a pretty stark difference.

  • I think it is Hybe's strategy that is doing them disservice. It is like the person that constantly can't read the mood of the room. Hybe management is reading the worst of what Kpop fandom has to offer, and they seem to be strategizing around those comments.

Instead of building on the brand that they have established, they only seem to react to what is going on around them. Instead of becoming a trendsetter, they get accused of being copies. Other groups with established identities shrug off the accusations of copycats pretty well. You can see this with groups like Aespa and Newjeans. Only the fringe believe that they are copycats.

Starting from the Easy era, it feels like LSRFM has lost the identity that they have built up.

Maybe, I'm reading too much into this.

Tbh Lsf went from charting at 1 or at least top 10 in all charts to barely being able to crack top 50 and out top 100 within 1 comeback is very drastic imo :?: no other top gg has dropped that fast :!:

  • LSF is being used as a punch bag. The majority of kpop fans, that hive mind mass is being played by media to dump all the bad stuff HYBE has ever done on LSF in the shape of mindless and groundless hate.

Do you mean on K-charts? A lot of their music this year seems to be targeted to breaking into the west, and if that's the actually the case the K-charts are pretty irrelevant for those songs, whether they bop or flop on them. As long as their fanbase is stable in the east, then it's okay to flop on charts.

If you mean western charts, well, that's just what might happen when you try your hand entering a different market. Not everything is going to be a success.

Sorry yes I meant kcharts! I just find it odd they were able to reach 1 with Perfect Night considering that’s a full English track that blocked Drama and others from getting RAKs and Easy peaked inside top 10 to Crazy falling out top 100 1 comeback after :?:

I think the next comeback will be telling if Knets are done with Lsf or if they really just hated Crazy lol!

I think they do good internationally overall :!:

I think many people said in the comeback thread that vogue isn't popular in Korea. That and the VMA, EMA, and Empire State Building promo make it seem like they're pivoting to me since they can rely on Sakura and Chaewon fans to carry in SK and JP.

  • So people are comparing

Lesserafim having a very similar dark concept like red velvet, with pretty similar shot and scenes as red velvet have had for years

When i want to point out, the song doesn't even have any once of "dark" in it to really understand the reason for this aesthetic

    With what ?????

Aespa girls walking on their two feet to enter the stage ????

    Very interesting comparison
