I'm not sure about that last part tho, because if you look at the song that Lisa and Jennie released so far, you can tell that all of those are meant for the Western audience, and I don't think Lisa, especially Jennie want to ignore her Asian fans.

Not to mention, every Music Label will tell the artists what they should do, especially if they're rookies like them. They're not Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga or Beyonce. Those women can do whatever they want, but I'm 99% sure BP girlies can't, even if they have their own companies. They can't take any risks for years, because they need massive income so they can keep their companies.

Anyway, my point still stands. We can't judge their solo career after a couple of months. I will judge it after 5 years or so, or after BP's disbandment.

They are all under a label, including as a group, so this question makes zero sense. I've only seen one or two girl groups actually operate without being signed to a label, and Blackpink isn't one of them.

People can say anything but if their idols take this same route, the result may not be the same.

Having your own label means doing whatever you want. You don't have to be Taylor Swift or Beyonce to do that.

Nah, I don't think that's true, because I worked with artists, they weren't big as BP, not even in the media, so technically they can do whatever they want, and you know what happened? All of them stopped doing music. Why? Because they didn't have enough income from concerts and album sales.

That's why I said, even tho BP is massive, they spent BILLIONS to start their own companies, they have many employees as well, they can't just do whatever they want. Sure, if they release actual albums like Rose and even Jennie will soon, they can create some nice B-Sides, but their Title Tracks have to be the same trendy Tiktok songs, and they HAVE TO create a LOT of song in the next 2-3 years so they can go on tour and sell albums, because without that their company will fail. And they have to do it fast, because they won't be in the mainstream media for long. That's how this industry works. Especially in the Western countries.

Having a freedom and doing whatever you want is not the same thing, btw. Anyone who think, an artist can do whatever they want, they never worked in this industry. Just watch Documentaries, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
