It's scary how a youtuber with 380k subs can post a video of 40 secs trying to summarize a super complicated topic, they commit like 4 or 5 mistakes during those 40 secs (lmao) and the video reaches 100k views so easily. We're really in the era of misinformation, people really just drop anything in social media.

Regarding ETA and the actual topic of the thread, I think this can help them a lot specially because they're starting to target a community (gamers). They've the support of a stream like this, they already have Gods in their discography and the Fortnite collab should come soon if Hybe doesn't mess it up, so they could really become one of the most important artists in that community, which is always helpful.

Indeed. I pointed out in the megathread a couple of weeks ago how I was really angry at some big fan accounts of other fandoms because they were tweeting misinformation about the topic. Like you said some people might not be aware of the whole issue and to see this point of view from someone big of your fandom can impact your own opinion so much. It's what has been happening with this since the beginning, the 99% of the hate NJ (and other groups) receive is because of misinformation that was spreaded among people that just wanted to read something that validates their thoughts, regardless of if it's true or not.

People should be aware of how important to have followers is. Let's not even talk about media and periodism which is literally their job to inform but nowadays most act like random Twitter accounts to get clicks and engagement. All this is a really delicate topic that most people don't focus on, they just care when bad news about their favs come out but the problem is not that specific article dragging your fav, the problem is the whole system and how it will always use these situations to polarize people.
