Why did TWICE stop releasing catchy songs?

  • When groups change to "mature concepts" their songs often get boring. Feels like few groups have gotten more fun after they change from their early days to their more "mature" stage. But I think Twice have at least done it okay, they have some good song the last couple of years even if they have some boring ones. Blackpinks later years was no fun at all. 2NE1 was also a bit "meh" at the end. Same with Kara. Well, the list goes on.

  • Old man lost his transparent pants. Thats where the magic was.

It was like Roger with his pants.

  • It’s because Twice has a very large hater base. They are trying to make it seem like the group is flopping because of K-chart performance while ignoring their recent sales, touring, J-chart, and Billboard performance.

  • they still did. But it's not all about catchy song, kpop fans are tend to go to younger gg idols. And they are too active, I think.

They should reduce their idols activity, focusing on their solo project, and just make come back every 2 years, make them a bit mystery and missed by general public.

Just like snsd. Forever 1 such a good album, catchy, and nostalgic.

Im surprised when u mentioned 2NE1 was a bit "meh'" at the end. Crush was their last album, aand that album was their best charting + most acclaimed one. Come Back Home, Gotta Be You and few B-sides songs are among their best songs. Cant see them being more "meh" than their previous releases.

Well, maybe a personal opinion of cource, but I'm not a big fan of the Crush album and it's singles.

The golden years for 2NE1 was 2009-2011 and Ugly was maybe the last song in their golden age and where they peaked. Not saying some of their songs from 2012 and forward was not good, but they was not as good as some of their early songs.
