LISA is bigger than every GG in the US

  • On youtube that is, and of course not bigger than Blackpink! I wasn't going to post this data as I didn't find it very interesting but why not. These are the total views on YT weekly song chart for the US, meaning anytime the group appeared on this page https://charts.youtube.com/charts/TopSongs/us/weekly for it's entire existence starting from 2017. I threw in BTS for fun.

  • Yeah, there are no surprises here.

  • Well, she “alone” topped all GGs on Spotify this year (let's not even talk about the gap)

  • Tru-Multistan I wonder where did you get the info, because on YT you can only see stats for 1 year!

On Spotify, IU is the most streamed female soloist.

I'm not sure about Youtube US, but based on the last 365 days, she should be in the TOP5 for sure! Even if we only count the stats since 2017.

More than 2B streams on YT Korea also.

And both IU and LISA has more than 400M streams on Spotify in 2024 so far.

  • Like I said in the OP, the data is taken directly from https://charts.youtube.com/charts/TopSongs/us/weekly by aggregating EVERY week. We know for certain these views are ad free, or so youtube claims, so I thought it was interesting to use. The data on their artist page that you are showing may or may not be ad free, no clue. You can see here that the US charts started in 2017:

And although I highly doubt anyone is interested, I'll include the raw data set which was used to create the table in my OP:

As I said in my previous post, take these numbers with a grain of salt. They are going to favor the big groups and only give a small view of the whole. It's just for fun.

  • She has just started a solo career outside yg and already in the top 2 with (6-7) songs.

Not only that but there is only a 52M gap left.

Manoban is so damnn cool bro :holding-back-tears: :holding-back-tears:

Sure, but in reality, she's the member of the biggest girl group of the last 8 years, while IU never did any PR outside of Asia till 2024! 80% of her stats comes from YG era.

I always said, it's much easier to stream 4 songs than 100+! IF she can keep this up, count me impressed, but I would be surprised if she can do this for more than 5 years. The mainstream Music Industry doesn't work like that, especially for a Kpop artist. If Blackpink eventually disbands, that's gonna hit all 4 of them hard outside of Asia.

The hardest thing in the Music Industry is to remain relevant. Only a handful of artists did that, and basically all of them has a massive and versatile discography.

I don't like Taylor Swift, but that woman is relevant, because she releases 50 music every year. I'm pretty sure her latest album had like 30 songs. That's the entire discography of BP. 😂

  • Youtube should make an all-time list for every artist with streams and charts as well, because to do this manually is madness.

I don't think it matters if the views are ad-free or not, because YT never gonna say anything about this anyway.

Nah, let's give credit where things show.

Even now, outside of YG, Rockstar pulls out more streams than any female kpop act in 2024

Not even mentioning that Rockstar is Lisa's highest entry on Hot 100.

Brand deals blew up like a pancake and she achieved day by day a new records.

yea the ads do not matter much, but its kind of interesting I guess. Sadly Youtube will probably never provide all the data, so this is the best I can do. I posted this previously in another thread but in case you are interested, this a similar table except using KR all time instead of US, with IU added. KR charts started ~2018
