Lisa is not going to be a superstar in the west

Maybe not exactly a superstar or BTS level but she is well on her way to being bigger than most groups in the US besides blackpink themselves, if she isn't already.

I’m confused because only jungkook is a superstar globally jimin and v ate doing fine but the rest ? Definitely not

I don't think any of the blackpink members will be superstars in the west unless they get lucky. It's very competitive in the west and the same stuff that works in kpop most likely won't work in the US. I think she just needs to keep going at it and get her name out there. She most likely needs to perform at festivals, appear on TV shows, and do other promotions. She also needs to work on performance because they same stuff that worked in kpop won't work in the US market.

I am rooting her, but it's going to be a lot of work, but it's possible.

Even Jungkook and Jimin with multiple no. 1 hits on hot 100 aren't known among gp. I don't think it's even possible.

The western market for female popstars are pretty stacked from Sabrina Carpenter to Chappell Roan. She will still do well regardless. Doing more promo and performances will definitely get her name more out there and VMAs is just the start. She will be performing in the Global Citizen Festival at NYC this month and she will also potentially drop her album soon.

No KPOP soloist really will it is what it is.

With the amount of push and promo he got from both label I wouldn't be surprised if he had surpassed BTS.

Zayn? Isn't zayn just a one era wonder? Except his first album didn't he flop everytime he released something? I am sure jungkook next era will do well and not end up flopping like zayn. So jungkook will have the bigger career anyway.

Lalisa is a superstar! Of course she can be anything she wants to be! Really Westerners should be more accepting of different genres and have an open mind. I support Lalisa because she's definitely not basic plus she's super humble and kind. I respect her positivity. 🙂

why are we expecting instant show stopping success in the west? it takes time to establish a level of recognition among the gp.

and she’s already taking on some acting opportunities that can boost her fame even more.
