But for real, we need to talk about Day6. What is this sudden digital power from them?

Day6 has always been the GP's silent secret favourite. They don't have huge fanbase like many groups but the GP always knew about them. Regarding their most recent resurgence, it actually also all started way back during their enlistment era. And I have to give props to Young K for this.

Most BGs die off after enlistment. Young K managed to always promote Day6 and kept Day6 in the loop during their "hiatus". Day6 went on a hiatus in 2020 due to Sungjin's and Jae's mental anxiety issues during their Zombie era, and that hiatus extended until 2021 during Negentropy era. It was a shock to fans when Sungjin suddenly announced he was going to enlist soon after.

Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon then made a sub-unit Even Of Day to continue keeping the Day6 name alive. Young K especially, is a radio DJ on Day6 KissTheRadio and is constantly promoting EoD/Day6. Soon Young K Dowoon and Wonpil slowly enlisted.

However, this was when it all started. Even during enlistment, Day6 name is always there. The 3 of them are even promoting Day6 during military, and performed on military shows. It was like they never left

Additionally, for some reason idols kept covering Day6 songs. They are always singing Day6 songs and promoting Day6 even when Day6 is not even active.

Here is when it all happens. Sungjin was the first to be out but he was still adapting to the idol life as like I mentioned before he went on a hiatus, but he started doing stuff like making his own Youtube channel etc etc. Young K was the next to be released. And once he was released he's been working non stop. Solo album + radio DJ + live events, the moment he was out he was out working and promoting the band non stop. Next it was Dowoon and finally Wonpil, the band is finally together. Everyone has been anticipating Day6's return. They even had a concert in SK soon after.

Now, nearing the end of 2023, "You Were Beautiful", one of their biggest songs started rising

And their other most famous song, "Time Of Our Life" also started rising. If you guys weren't aware, TOOL is a song that always rises during the new year due to their lyrics.

And Day6's trajectory has been going up and up ever since. It's a combination of the GP's love, fans loyalty, and Day6's dedication to keep the group name promoting that has lead to this. And most most most importantly, timeless and good music that everyone loves.

They then comeback with a new album with their title "Welcome to the Show", which did well on the charts. The most recent rise on the song I think, is due to olympics. The song is CONSTANTLY PLAYED during the olympics season, probably to to the lyrics as well

This is why I say it's important to have songs that resonates with people. Especially for SKoreans, lyrics really do play a part. Right now they have multiple songs in the Top 20, and potentially another with their comeback in a few days

And now that I've got everyone's attention, anticipate their comeback
