Was at work yesterday and heard that the past few days, more people than usual were out sick and two reported they had covid. Finish work a bit sneezy and headachey and because I'm off to Japan on Wednesday, had a bit of a panic moment and found myself buying a covid test kit for the first time in over a year. Negative thank god.
Now just got a text message that as many people and shifts as possible are going to be working from home for the week because management are worried it's going through the office. Works for me, not wanting to get sick before I travel.
But... do you or people around you care about Covid anymore? Do you still take precautions about it, or at least more precautions than pre-pandemic? If you're sick, do you test anymore?
I usually just have hand sanitizer on me. Don't mask anymore. And I usually ask to WFH a week or so before I go on holidays, just to avoid picking up anything in general from the office.
