Hybe's live vocals will always be at a low level, I was just surprised when the NewJeans appeared and didn't believe it. In the end, it turned out that MHJ has a much better understanding of artists than Bang.

danielle was just ok. The other members were terrible. especially Minji and Hanni sounded like wounded dogs. the cardboard cutout of Hyein had the best vocals IMO.

I watched the encore and thought it was fine.

I feel like it's only becoming some kind of issue due to the ongoing controversy surrounding HYBE/Ador.

and yes, they can actually sing their songs comfortably because they are specifically in their vocal range which is one of the reasons why their songs are so comfortable and easy to listen too.

i don’t have to induce a migraine when listening to newjeans’ songs. so many kpop songs have unnecessary screeching high notes and it’s one of the reasons why some encores have gone viral for being bad.

it’s usually not the idol’s fault and instead the company’s fault for making them sing super high notes that are not naturally in their vocal register.

ngl saying this as a fearnot, lowkey wished sm was acquired so that they would send their vocal coaches to hybe. not that everyone is SM is the best singer but they definitely have good coaches who stress technical proficiency

HYBE knows their music though....hard to not listen to the discography of HYBE groups. Also their performances keep my attention. I agree that LSFM songs would be a challenge for pretty much most idols to sing...much less sing and dance.

encores should be banned. it's become a pissing contest. even this newjeans encore that's being hyped was the bare minimum. i saw an aespa encore and they have 2 amazing singers but even then it wasn't something i'd pay to see.

the jimin encore was horribly uncomfortable and i bet he still has nightmares about it. it was not the first time that it happened, much worse was in that award show performance but twitter was less engaged back then. it sucks because he's still one of the most exciting idols to watch live and his solos are all on my my list of favorite kpop songs (minus smf2 ). it is what it is.

maybe this will mean that the 6th generation will be full of actual singers, but without a thousand plastic surgeries before they're 16 pls.

It's for the fans who have spent hours supporting their idols and cheering them on all day.

The encores are not for you. Nobody has a gun against your head forcing you to watch them.
