Random question - your opinion on the Japanese groups from KPop companies?

if I cared about jpop groups I would just check jpop groups from actual japanese companies

They're okay but I rly don't see the point of them debuting under Korean companies when they are a jpop group

I only care about the Japanese groups from JYP.

I do think it is cool that Japanese groups have the option to join Korean companies.

But, most specifically for boy groups. I am happy that the introduction of KPOP in Japan and KPOP based Japanese groups helped unclench the chokehold Johnny's had over boy groups in Japan. Of course, Johnny's (or whatever their name is now) is still the pinnacle of boy groups in Japan, but I am happy that now there are more options.

Of course, Johnny is dead now, so they are probably no longer the house of horrors they were when he was alive. But, I think any company having such large control creates a breeding ground for trouble, and the ones who usually suffer the most are the artists.
