It is seriously funny how people on this forum have set of standards to being a fan

  • I was just watching a football fan absolutely rip his team apart and I just caught myself thinking that some AKP users would literally have their minds blown, like are you telling me he isn't ready to lick every players ass and support them all the time? Daamn, must be a fake fan.

Like dude, it is nothing personal. I liked the fake image Twice sold me and when they decided to serve me something else I rejected it.

The more crazy thing is to actually "support" the members. Like dudes, you know fuck nothing about those idols, they ain't your friends or family, you don't have a personal relationship with them, wtf are you talking about, support what? They sell product, you buy it, that's all. If your favorite pizza place serves you bad pies instead under a rebrand, you ain't gonna go "bruh, I support the workers so I am gonna continue eating shitty pies here", fuck no. The same applies to groups tou stan.

  • Music isn't a sport, minion. If you reject Twice because they got too real for you, simply go find a more productive use of your time. Listen to someone else. No one is asking you to root for a group you hate. They're better off without you.

  • Well... yeah, if my favourite artist had an album where I don't like any of the songs (or at least find them "meh"), I don't think I would buy the album or go listen to the songs on repeat to "support" them.

Like if I don't like that song that they have, then I often don't listen to that one as much as I listen to the ones I actually like.

But I'm sure that I still would kinda "support" the artist until I lose interest or something.

  • I know you are not comparing football to K-pop :pepefacepalm: This is completely irrelevant to what bullshit you spread about twice every day since 2020.

Actually, it's a pretty good comparison when it comes to criticizing your faves or any other team/group, but that's all basically.

For some people, when they support a team in any sport, it's a way of life, not just watching football. I support Manchester United for example for more than 20 years, I still support them even tho the team is hot garbage in the last 10 years. 🤣

Now, the same goes for music! Music is my life, it's a passion, not just some random hobby. Most of my faves, not only in Kpop are active for decades, and sometimes did a shit performance or released crap albums.

In my opinion, being a real fan means, you can and YOU HAVE TO criticize, even your faves. Actual singers and groups (not in Kpop) said to me that they love reading fan opinions, and it helps them grow and evolve. It's not like they will make music based on fan opinions, because it's an art, and you can't make art for everyone.

The real problem is when some fans think, they can't criticize them, they have to love everything what their faves or other artists does.

TWICE is actually a pretty good example. They started out pretty good, for years there wasn't any issue, they were good and decent vocalists, and some idiots started whining about their vocals and JYP used more autotune on their voice, and that ruined everything, basically. The funny thing is that their Killing Voice performance proved again that JYP shouldn't have to do anything, just let the haters whine and forget them.

  • Well, yeah but it have many differences too. For example, in Sports, the most talented win, is not the same in Kpop.

How many football games did you watch? 🤣 I'm sure you don't watch football, because you would know that even small teams can beat the most legendary teams like Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid etc. But I could say the same about NFL, NBA or any sport, basically.

In Kpop, 95% of the time the mainstream wins, not the talent.

Lol. Im talking overall. How many Champions RM had? How many Slams have Nadal, Novack or Federer? Sure, Valencia can beat RM in one game, but if they play 10 games RM will win most of them. Talent in the end prevails in sports.

Difference is that in kpop audience choose who "win" the game. In sport it does not matter what is the opinion of audience about them. It does not reduce the chance winning the game.

Yes, but you said, the better team won, but that's not the case. Especially nowadays. I've seen 2nd league teams beating Barca, Madrid and United and many other big clubs. Sure, it's not happening every week but still

Look at the table of La Liga now, Girona is a small team, they got promoted from the 2nd league last year, and now they're the 3rd. That's not just a one time thing, even a Spanish league. 😅

In the English Prem, small teams won the league a couple of times, in that league it's pretty usual thing for mid-table team or lower to beat the better opponent.

But this is an OFF topic. Can't believe I'm talking about football in a Kpop thread. 🤣

Yes, but that wasn't my point. I was talking about criticizing a performance.

  • That's not remotely true lol. Odds on betting favorite teams and players lose all the time.

I'd be a multi billionaire if the most talented athletes always won.

No. I say the most talented win. And I was talking overall. Ofc, they cant win all the time, they are human after all. There is the difference with Kpop. Novak have more wins over other players. But in Kpop, Mamamoo can't win against other groups like BP or Twice for example. Don't matter how much more talented Mamamoo members are. Is not going to happen.
