Now that I'm looking at this list again, this is actually really different than Circle's. I wonder why so many groups' sales dropped a good amount. Enhypen, TXT, NewJeans, LSFM, Twice, Treasure, Seventeen's 17th Heaven album, ZB1's second album, all had much better numbers on Circle Chart, and this list is supposed to be physical and digital pure sales (which is why EXO/IVE/(G)I-DLE have higher numbers on this list compared to Circle). So you'd think their numbers should be higher on IFPI, not much lower.

I wonder what IFPI's criteria is, and/or if they maybe question the legitimacy of some of Circle's numbers somewhat?

edit: it appears NewJeans wasn't counted because their releases weren't long enough to count as albums; which yeah that makes a lot of sense.

Could be a matter of shipped vs sold.

Circle tends to account for the former and this might be attributing actually bought in store.

I didn't see this but that explains their pretty notable absences. Freefall is still 500k+ less than Circle tho, which is odd to say the least. Especially when factoring in digital sales (apparently it had none??).
