i don’t really know either.
You could try hard for the rest of your life and just go nowhere, and that scares me quite a bit. Trying your best but falling short. Never making it far enough to be happy, and just spending what little time you have alive chasing after a fleeting dream.
I just try to live in the moment and look for the silver lining. I don’t wanna be bogged down by these thoughts either, they don’t do me or anyone else any good...but you do end up falling into those moods sometimes. I can’t really help the sad moods, but i definitely look at the bright side and appreciate what i’ve got as often as i can.
Life is really mysterious i suppose. I don’t know the meaning of it, but i think that it’s enough to just be.
To laugh, to eat, to sleep and feel your ups and downs, to be overwhelmed, to feel the sunlight kissing your skin or the rain beating down on you, to be with friends and family, to fall in and out of love, to move freely and think freely and to experience things with a conscience.
That’s something not every living thing has, and having these thoughts can either be a gift or a curse depending on what you do with it.

it actually does...i try to save when i can, but when that jacket looks too good or that cake is too delicious-looking, there goes my money.

one good method is by looking at the lives of the poor and downtrodden...it makes you appreciate the value of money more

that makes me depressed, which then makes me want to cheer up with a nice chai latte. $7 freaking dollars, they’re way too expensive.
plus, the whole of aus is going through this not-so-great inflation atm so i’m less inclined to spend money.

I've always been instilled a sense of frugality from my parents...they didn't grow up with much and they worked teeth and nail to get to where they are ...so growing up i was used to not having much hence i learned to value the dollar...
materialistic goods were never ever in my consideration - i have never bought coffee or tea at a cafe in Australia - those things are really expensive

that's actually pretty cool, my dad grew up like that too (not in australia though). That's something that i really do respect a lot...
Oh yeah, whenever I go out with my friends, I love to go to these nice cafes and they do put a burden in my wallet (the cafe food and actual cafes are gorgeous though, so aesthetic and so pretty~!)
guess you could say i live pretty "freely" though lol (i need to reel in my impulse buying tho oops)
