You would think being the greatest MeU that ever lived I would be thrilled about this announcement. But there's a couple things that immediately come to mind.
1. Why would Krystal return to music? This is giving off Sulli Goblin vibes in the sense that if you are willing to return to music why not just get the gang back together and return as f(x)? I realize that's not an easy thing to do but I remember when Sulli announced her solo people were giving her crap about it saying "If you still want to do music why not just have stayed with f(x)?" As far as I know she's doing great as an actress so what's the catch?
2. I hate to admit this but I have a strong feeling the rise of New Jeans has inspired Krystal to return to music. Krystal has a weird niche taste in music overall. I can see New Jeans style appealing to her greatly. Plus I don't doubt her and Min Heejin still stay in touch on a regular basis and they probably have had talks about music in general and this has also probably pointed Krystal back into the music direction. Let's not forget Krystal was already in the dreamy New Jeans vibes long before they were with her only offical solo release "I Don't Want to Love You"
3. With any hope this could be the first steps to reuniting f(x) with a new comeback or just getting them back on stage with a reunion. Even with my bias aside I honestly believe this group is too iconic and still has too many fans not to return one last time in one form or another. Hopefully if Krystal does release a solo this will ignite something in her to return to what originally made her a star.
