How many unsuccessful cb do you think it takes before the public completely ignores a group, no matter how good their songs are?

  • I'm talking about groups that were doing really well on charts at first but suddenly are not anymore, or groups that debuted under the Big 4.

How many chances does the public, including Kpop fans in general, give them before everyone starts doomposting about how badly they're doing and how their company didn't manage the group properly? How many bad cb until even when they have really good songs, yet it those will not chart well at all no matter how hard they tried unless the song suddenly goes viral. For example, like Itzy, Gfriend, Mamamoo.

  • Humm it really depends on the group + I think the more similar the new releases are to the previous one the more likely gp will get tired OR ditch the group when they change the sound, for example twice, gf, itzy, momoland, exid all suffered from the same problem.

Bp, 2ne1 and Sistar even with same concept each cb managed to give different songs that had the surprise factor in every new release.

  • erm... idk about the others but I stanned itzy so I know that the reason the gp stopped showing up for them is because their songs began to fall out of favor style-wise, like the last comeback the gp was really tuned in for was MITM which was made fun of for goofy lyrics. It's not about the number of comebacks, its about the expected quality of music and image. Also, god itzy's new comeback is so good... Mr Vampire alone is just so great

  • 3 strikes and your out. I think after 3 comebacks if your music still isn't improving or catching the attention of the public you can either rebrand as a group or just give up and chase international fame.
