I don't like their music. But if others enjoyed it and post on social media, at least the girls will know some people enjoyed it and they will be happy. Even if they're unpopular, they'll should grateful to the fans that listened to their music and enjoyed it. If they are still not grateful then they didn't deserve to be popular in the first place.

I will say though that charting and album sales matter a lot since it's literally part of the income of the idol/group

it's just that I don't personally care about it that much

Multi-fans are the most likely to ditch a group they swear they'd stan forever over Company stans that don't have as much of a vested interest.

As for the groups themselves, they won't determine what type of fan you are to be thankful toward you with the exception of sasaeng that no-one likes.
