    1. So there's a reason why YG's cafeteria is so good...

    2. This is disgusting

    3. YG is insane, their salaries are lower than the salary they pay at my company and they're paid even less than me, this is honestly abnormal

    4. So it sucks to work anywhere aside from Hybe or JYP ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    5. The one with the least wage parity between men and women is JYP. It's also noticeable that most of them are regular workers and there are three contract workers.

    6. YG's average salary being this low is insane ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    7. JYP is likable

    8. The gender wage gap is f*cked ㅗ

    9. Their office is in Seoul... YG is too much ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

    10. What's up with YG's salaries ㅋ

  • I'm going to guess the gender gap is largely because most exec/mgmt positions are held by men? Holy crap some of those salaries are trash. And Seoul is expensive!

  • Obviously, the gender disparity is due to the positions. I believe that most higher-up positions, as well as important roles like in-house producer and director, are held by men. Meanwhile, women are often in roles such as stylist and makeup artist. So, I can understand this.

But still, I hope to see many more women taking on significant roles in companies in the future.

Not specific to the entertainment industry but I remember a post about the highest ranking/paid women in executive roles and of the 300, only a couple dozen weren't married, chaebols or related to the founder. MHJ was the only one I remember being on that list from the entertainment industry

  • interesting

do they include the artist themselves in such calculations since technically they are employees and that would skew the numbers a long more no?

  • I make more than all of them ): i work retail

These companies are working with high end stylists and make up artists, it would be unacceptable if they paid them this little/average salary.
